At Bawa-Lalvani Public School, we believe that involving parents in the learning journey of their children and in the life of the school is essential to our success. We encourage parents to seek information, be curious and learn about the routine at BLPS & teaching & learning in the 21st Century.

Parent Coffee mornings hosted by principals provide a forum for parents to stay up-to-date with the work of each age group (Class) and any changes to daily routine in the Primary, Middle and Secondary Segments. Open sessions and town hall type events hosted by the Principal provide forums to learn about key strategic initiatives for the school. At every level, we are committed to providing opportunities to learn about our school, our culture and our vision for the future.

We encourage parents to contribute their time and talent to our community in ways that support our mission and positively impact our school and community. We have established structures through which parents can contribute intellectually. We encourage parents to approach us with new ideas of how the school can engage with the parent community.

The Parent Teacher group supports school activities and plans social events for the whole community. Parent Ambassadors provide an additional perspective on routine at BLPS to prospective families and support new families settle into the routine at BLPS. The Civil Managing Body’s advise is welcomed by the Board of Governors and various School committees are a SPV for translation of parents advise into actions to assist the school’s leadership in setting the future direction of the school. Lastly, parent Ambassadors act as a sounding board on socially important emerging topics or initiatives.
